Michael N. Pakdaman MD

Physician and CEO

Dr. Pakdaman completed his undergraduate training at the University of California – Los Angeles. He graduated UCLA in 2003 with Suma Cum Laude honors in Cybernetics with specialization in Bioinformatics.

He received his medical training at the internationally renowned McGill University, where he created a comprehensive thyroid cancer database that has revealed novel information regarding the frequency of thyroid cancer in our population. The database he has created has led to over a dozen presentations at national meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals. His data is continuing to be used to this day to reveal new discoveries on the characteristics of thyroid cancer.

Afterward, he went on to a research fellowship a the presigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, a Harvard University hospital. There he performed a Meta-Analysis of congenital inner ear deformities that published in the prestigious White Journal of Otolaryngology. 

Dr. Pakdaman trained for 2 years in Otolarygnology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, including training at the MD Anderson Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

He then spent two years as the Lead Scientific Coordinator at Medicus Research, serving many functions including clinical trial protocol design, appropriation of sponsor funding, clinical supervision, staff training, statistical analysis and interpretation, and clinical study report preparation. 

As an unrestricted licensed physician with the State of California, Dr. Pakdaman has also worked as a sub-investigator for clinical trials sponsored by Merck, Pfizer, Astellas, and Amgen. He has been involved in direct oversight of clinical trial site-specific activities including case report form (CRF) preparation, communication with site monitors, and study-specific procedures.
